Yanmar 4JH Rebuild

This Yanmar 4JH arrived to AHS Marine in a very sorry state after a hard life in a launch. The engine had a gearbox fault and due to its poor condition and exposure to salt water also had a seized valvetrain. Despite its poor condition, the engine underwent a full refurbishment by AHS Marine, and left looking and running almost like new!
Gearbox removed and clutch cones re lapped.
Cylinder head removed, valves broken free.
Full heat exchanger rebuild.
Pistons removed and new rings installed.
Bores re honed.
New valves, head skimmed and pressure tested.
Engine re assembled with new injectors, flexible feet, and stainless exhaust elbow.
Full respray.
Engine ran up and tested.
