1. Scope of Work

• All work carried out by AHS Marine Engineering is based on visual inspection and/or customer instruction.

• Only the agreed work will be undertaken unless additional work is authorised by the customer.

2. Estimates & Quotations

• Estimates are provided as a guide and may be subject to change.

• Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

• Additional faults discovered during work may require further approval and cost.

3. Payment Terms

• Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• AHS Marine Engineering reserves the right to charge interest on overdue payments.

• Parts may require payment in advance.

4. Callout Charges

• Callout fees may apply and will be communicated prior to attendance.

• Minimum charges may apply depending on location and time.

5. Parts & Materials

• Parts supplied will be charged in addition to labour unless included in a quote.

• AHS Marine Engineering is not responsible for manufacturer defects in supplied parts.

• Warranty on parts is subject to manufacturer terms.

6. Customer Responsibility

• The customer must ensure safe and reasonable access to the vessel and work area.

• The vessel must be in a suitable condition for work to be carried out safely.

• The customer is responsible for informing AHS Marine Engineering of any known faults or issues.

7. Liability

• All work is carried out with reasonable care and skill.

• AHS Marine Engineering shall not be liable for:

  • Pre-existing faults or hidden defects

  • Consequential or indirect losses

  • Failures outside the scope of the agreed work

8. Workmanship

• Any concerns with workmanship must be reported within a reasonable time.

• AHS Marine Engineering will be given the opportunity to inspect and rectify issues where appropriate.

9. Electrical & Mechanical Systems

• Marine systems can be complex and faults may not always be immediately identifiable.

• AHS Marine Engineering cannot guarantee that all faults will be identified during initial inspection.

10. Fabrication & Modifications

• Fabrication and modifications are carried out based on customer requirements.

• The customer accepts responsibility for suitability of requested modifications unless otherwise agreed.

14. Emergency Callout Service

• AHS Marine Engineering may offer an emergency callout service for breakdowns where reasonably possible.
  However, response times cannot be guaranteed and attendance is subject to availability, location, and existing workload.

• While every effort will be made to respond as quickly as possible, AHS Marine Engineering accepts no liability for delays in attendance or for any loss arising from inability to attend or delayed response.

• Emergency callouts are intended for inspection, fault finding, and repair where the vessel is safely accessible on land or at a marina. AHS Marine Engineering does not provide on-water recovery or towing services.

11. Cancellation

• Cancellations should be made with reasonable notice.

• AHS Marine Engineering reserves the right to charge for late cancellations or missed appointments.

12. Health & Safety

• Work will not be carried out where conditions are deemed unsafe.

• AHS Marine Engineering reserves the right to stop work if safety is compromised.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
