Arctic 28 Rebuild

This is my own personal passion project. Rebuilding the legendary Halmatic Arctic 28. Known for being heavily built, this one was in a sorry state of neglect after being retired from duty with the military. The plywood deck and transom were rotten and the hull had many layers of antifoul built up.
Deck stripped (many many screws).
Foam flotation in hull removed.
Fuel tanks removed.
Boat flipped over for work on underside.
Antifoul removed.
Hull re gel coated and sanded back to mirror finish.
Transom replaced.
Custom stern mounted tow/ samson post fabricated and fitted into structure of hull.
Custom bow samson post fabricated.
Fuel tank filler pipe modified and re welded to fit under deck.
New fuel tank supports made and neoprene isolating material applied.
Fuel tank fittings restored.
Fuel tanks installed and strapped down.
Underdeck piping for cable conduit installed.
New deck installed and fibre glassed in.
Watch this space for future updates to this ongoing mega project!
